On Tuesday April 5, Exploring Teens asked the question: Is this normal teenage behaviour? At their very first Q & A parents forum, 7 experts in their field ranging from psychologists to youth motivational speakers, informed and empowered parents. It was a brilliant night and the organisers are to be commended on hosting such a great event. I’ve put the links to each of the speakers below but I must say, if you weren’t there, you missed out!! If you haven’t heard about Exploring Teens and subscribed to their magazine, please do!! It’s a brilliant resource of support and encouragement to parents who often feel isolated and alone whilst navigating what can be tumultuous years.
I spoke about the impact of porn on children and teens and inspired parents to get talking to their kids about porn. You are welcome to listen to the podcast below. I’ve also shared the PowerPoint so you can follow along.
The other speakers at the Exploring Teens Q & A forum had exceptional advice on the night and offer brilliant support in their specialist fields.
- Collett Smart is a consultant psychologist, qualified teacher, lecturer, author and mum of 3.
- Paul Wade – Skills for Life: Formerly a Socceroo Captain, Paul is one of the most highly experienced and sought after speakers in the industry.
