If you haven't heard the fuss about Bully yet, here's what I've found out.  Bully is a movie which tackles head on the effects of bullying.  Due to the swearing and sometimes violent scenes, it has been issued with an R rating (USA).  Releasing at the end of the month (USA), there are big petitions being signed - a full review of the movie can be read here. There's a Facebook page set up in support of Bully, celebrities are jumping on the wagon, you can follow it on Twitter... I've seen the official trailer... and then watched the other snippet...  By the time I got through this one I was crying...   So I pose the question - if it is released as 'R' rated when it comes to Australia, will you want to take your kids to see it? Is it better to pretend it's not happening? Or bring it into the light so that people know there's a problem and will do something to change it.  When a kid takes their life because they don't feel normal - or lives every day in fear of what will happen next,... But the latest info from a great friend in New Zealand really has me fuming. Please be warned this so-called advertisement is offensive. In fact, Youtube has made it restricted access for those over 18. The depth of this depravity is hard to fathom.  With sexual violence against women on the rise, this advertising cannot possibly be considered anything other than abhorrent.  Sexual violence isn’t funny and it certainly isn't entertaining. How did we get to this place??  Surely society has to take a good hard look at itself.  Porn has greatly contributed to this.  Little by little, compassion and tenderness h... If you're a regular user of social media, do you post whatever comes to mind first - or do you sway the other way and don't post at all due to an internal fear that someone might laugh at what you say?  Commenting on this blog may be the very thing that pushes some people to the point of putting yourself in other people's story...
